As we step into the second half of 2026, many pastors, leaders, and ministry teams are reminded that serving Jesus is both a privilege and a challenge. There are seasons where ministry feels costly, unseen, or difficult… But in those moments, we can look to the example of Jesus.
In John 13, we see Jesus wash the feet of his disciples. Knowing that Judas would betray him, Peter would deny him, and his friends would leave him, Jesus still chose to love and serve them to the very end.
Jesus’ example reminds us that true service is not about recognition or comfort. It is about humility, sacrifice, and faithfully loving others.
There are times when we may feel like throwing in the towel. But Jesus invites us to tuck in the towel and continue serving, trusting that God is at work through our faithfulness.
Across our churches and communities, we see lives being transformed by the love and power of Jesus. Every act of service, every word of encouragement, and every moment of faithfulness can be part of the work God is doing.
As we continue into the second half of 2026, may we be strengthened by the love of Christ and encouraged to serve like Jesus with humility, perseverance, and hope.
There is a blessing in serving Jesus.
