Queensland’s Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (the Act) means organisations working with children or providing spaces specifically for them need to implement the Child Safe Standards and the Universal Principle.

Please note that stand alone Counselling Services / Practices are included as health services and need to comply with the Child Safe Standards from 1 January 2026.
Churches will also be required to implement a Reportable Conduct Scheme, to ensure concerns of harm are reported, investigated, and responded to.
