Project 11 2026

Across Queensland and beyond, church leaders are asking an important question: how do we intentionally form and empower the next generation of Kingdom leaders—right now? Project 11 exists to help churches answer that question with faith, courage, and practical action.

Registrations are now open for Project 11 2026, and this is an invitation to prayerfully consider the emerging leaders in your church community whom God may be calling you to invest in this year.

For many years, young leaders have been described as the “future of the Church.” But for Lincoln, a past Project 11 participant, that language no longer goes far enough.

“For so many years we’ve been told that we’re the replacements for the future of the Church,” he reflects. “But I strongly believe we are the reinforcements of the Church now.”

This shift in perspective sits at the heart of Project 11. Emerging leaders are not simply waiting in the wings; they are being equipped to step forward, serve alongside faithful leaders, and contribute meaningfully to the life and mission of the Church today.

As a Queensland Baptists initiative, Project 11 is intentionally designed to complement and strengthen the local church. Participants remain embedded in their church context while being challenged, encouraged, and resourced to grow.

As a movement, Queensland Baptists has now seen almost 500 emerging leaders grow and be shaped through Project 11. Behind each number is a story of calling clarified, confidence built, and faith deepened.

Lincoln describes the role of church leaders in this process as both vital and urgent:

“As the leaders of the church now, it’s about calling those young people out to become the reinforcements within the church right now.”

This calling out—this intentional invitation—can be transformative. When church leaders take time to notice, affirm, and invest in emerging leaders, they help create space for God to awaken gifts and stir boldness for service.

Project 11 2026 is an opportunity for you, as a church leader, to take a tangible step in developing the leaders God has placed in your care. Who are the young adults in your community showing faithfulness, teachability, and a growing sense of call? Who might flourish with intentional investment, mentoring, and challenge?

Registrations for Project 11 2026 are now open and will close on Friday 13 February. We invite you to prayerfully discern who God may be prompting you to encourage and nominate this year.

We are expectant for what God will do through Project 11 in 2026—and for the ways these emerging leaders will continue to serve as reinforcements for the Church, today and into the future.
