New Pastors Conference

Home / New Pastors Conference

Last week the team at QB Services hosted our Annual New Pastors Conference. The Conference which runs for 3 days provides an opportunity for new pastors (and transfer of credentials) to come together and be introduced to the team at QB Services and understand a bit more about our broader movement and some of the foundational aspects of ministry as a pastor with QB.

Day 1 is all about getting to know the movement with special guests such as the chair of the QB Board, Nathan Harris and the Chair of ABM Council, John Robertson joining our QB Team of Jason, Stewart and Quintin. Throughout the week, many other guests popped in from various QB Ministry arms to share about the broad and diverse ministry of QB and its supports for QB Churches and pastors.

Day 2 narrowed the focus to consider these pastors as leaders with key topics such as Setting Boundaries around Power and Authority, Being the Best Team Leader and Conflict Management.

Day 3 considers personal care and boundaries and features a session on Compliance related issues and one on Work / Life Balance. We finish the day off with marriage celebrant training for the new cohort of pastors.

This year we had 16 newly registered pastors attending (most in person) and we loved the opportunity to get to know them better, have some good conversations, build some good ministry connections, enjoy a few laughs and share some great food over the week.

Thankyou to all those who worked so hard to make this year’s New Pastor’s Conference a success, your contribution was appreciated.
