Changes to Marriage Celebrant Forms
From 1st September, changes were made to some of the key forms that celebrants use. These include the following three forms:
- Notice of Intended Marriage form
- Official Certificate of Marriage form
- Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage form
The change is detailed in the notice here.
The new forms can be obtained from the Attorney General’s Website here.
Please note that there is no transition period for these forms and celebrants should start to use these new forms immediately. Where a notice of intent has been received before the 1st of September, it is okay to use the old form as it was received.
The Qld Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages have also updated their online portal and have produced a new users guide for this facility. It is available here.
