Dear Queensland Baptist Pastors and Leaders,
My name is Lisa (pronounced Liza) Cornish, and it is my privilege to write to you as I step into the new National Church Relationship Manager position with Baptist Mission Australia.
You can read the announce of my new role from Baptist Mission Australia here: www.baptistmissionaustralia.org/stories/article/new-national-church-relationship-role/
I have worked with Baptist Mission Australia since February of 2022 as the State Leader for SA/NT. In 2024 my role expanded when I stepped into the State Leader position for WA. Prior to working with Baptist Mission Australia, I worked as Associate Pastor and then Interim Pastor at Barossa Community Church (Baptist) in the Barossa Valley, SA. I am married with three grown children and a daughter in law. I still live in the Barossa Valley and happily commute to wherever my work takes me.
Being offered the National Church Relationship role with Baptist Mission Australia is a real privilege for me. It is such a joy for me to develop relationships and partnerships between our Team Members and the local church as we work to serve God together locally, nationally and globally.
The National Church Relationship Manager role is a new role and, as such, there is no tried and tested path for me to follow. As I step out in prayer, my intention is to provide care and support for Queensland Baptist Pastors and churches, whether current supporters or those who may be interested in partnering with us in our work around Australia and the world. I would welcome the opportunity to chat with you and your team about my role, how I can support you or how you can be involved in the work of Baptist Mission Australia. I am, initially available for a chat over zoom but would welcome the opportunity to visit in person when I am visiting Queensland.
If you are interested in catching up for a chat, please get in contact at lcornish@baptistmissionaustralia.org
I am grateful for the opportunity to support and encourage the family of Queensland Baptist churches as they seek to honour God and His mission vision for this family of churches and beyond.
Peace,
Lisa
