Get your church’s photo on-line!
The Baptist Historical Society (BHSQ) is wanting to expand its on-line album of church photos https://www.bhsq.org/barq/churches100years/. The current album finishes around 2000, so they are now wanting to move into the last 25 years with photos of churches built during the period ca 2000-2027.
So BHSQ invites churches (and their keen photographers) to send in historic and/or recent photos of their church buildings that fall into that period to add to their on-line and archival collections.
The photos can be digital for preference, or paper (for scanning), and show the main church building clearly to give a good impression of the structure. (Photos of secondary buildings are not needed.)
Please add also the date (or at least year) of opening of the building!
Sending in the image to BHSQ implies permission to use it on the BHSQ website where it will be available for public viewing and downloading, and for the original to be retained in the Baptist Church Archives collection for future use.
Photos can be emailed (digital in JPG or TIF format – full size – not reduced) to archives@qb.org.au or mailed to Baptist Church Archives Qld, PO Box 6166, Mitchelton Q 4053, or dropped off at QB Office, Level 2 Building 1, 37 Redgum Place, Gaythorne Q 4051. (Paper photos can be returned after scanning if required and a return address is included.)
